HR, timekeeping and payroll

OneOffice runs end to end, from recruitment, HRIS, timekeeping up to payroll. It keeps employee records, a staff directory, resume tracking, time cards with selfie and GPS attendance, timesheets, and requests for overtime, leave and expenses in one place. Payroll settings cover earnings, deductions, allowances, government contributions, night differential, and overtime and holiday multipliers.

Odoo offers Employees, Recruitment, Time Off, Appraisals, Timesheets and a Payroll app. Odoo's payroll depends on country localization modules, and its published list of payroll localizations does not currently include the Philippines. Philippine businesses considering Odoo payroll should ask Odoo or an Odoo partner how they would handle local payroll. Odoo's Attendances app logs time and location for each check-in.

Invoicing, billing and payments

OneOffice handles estimates, invoices (with unpaid, overdue, partial and paid status), bulk invoicing, recurring invoices with billing schedules, purchase orders, delivery receipts and requests for payment. Payment links are paid through Maya, and a branded client portal lets clients see quotes, invoices and tickets.

Odoo offers Accounting and Invoicing apps. Its Philippines localization adds VAT taxes and BIR 2307, SLSP, 2550Q, SAWT and QAP reports.

Point of sale and industry apps

OneOffice includes a BIR-accredited POS for retail (kiosk orders, inventory, item library, e-journal and reports) and apps for clinics, hotels, property management, media billing, voting and bus ticketing. Odoo has a Point of Sale app and a much broader catalog that includes manufacturing, eCommerce, website building and marketing.

Hosting, open source and customization

Odoo Community is open source, and Odoo can run on its own cloud, on Odoo.sh or on your own servers. It also offers Studio for customization. OneOffice is a cloud-based service and isn't open source; you configure it through settings such as business units, leave types, holidays and tax settings.
